Dear karateka,
You all know the importance of a healthy mind in practicing karate efficiently and effectively.
You also experienced the feeling of stress relief, relaxation and proper mental focus during a karate session. We have to help with breaking the stigma around mental illnesses, and promote inclusion towards persons suffering from mental illnesses who believe that exercise is bad for them.
Next Saturday join Sensei Dario Chircop for a short karate session from 11.00am to 11.30am. As part of World Physiotherapy Day in Valletta, hosted by the Malta Association of Physiotherapists, this session will help raise awareness about mental health, focussing on the benefits of exercise on our mental state and also promote karate as an effective activity for boosting our self-esteem and mental image of oneself.
We hope to see most of you there!
