This weekend JKA Malta Chief instructor Dario Chircop, along with his daughters Sensei Nicole Chircop and Liane Chircop flew to Lisbon, Portugal to participate in the “Estágio de Inverno” organised by JKA Portugal.
On Friday 21st February 2020, they attended a private lesson with Ueki Shuseki Shihan 10th Dan JKA at the Centro Karate-Do Lisboa, also organised by JKA Portugal. This session was focused on the foundations of basic karate techniques in relation to their generation of speed and power.
Under the instruction of Ueki Shuseki Shihan (10th Dan JKA), Sensei Peté Pacheco (7th Dan JKA) and Sensei António Pula (7th Dan JKA), our JKA Malta representatives trained with many karateka from Spain and France for the next two days, focusing on key points in Kata and Kumite.
Following the end of this Portuguese Winter Stage, our very own Chief Instructor Sensei Dario Chircop (5th Dan JKA) was awarded the international qualification 'Judge Licence B', graded by Ueki Shuseki Shihan (10th Dan JKA).
